Bits And Bricks
Posted by Richard on December 10, 2016 at 09:58 PM CST:
Spotted by Baxor from our forums: The Hour of Code is a worldwide event created by to introduce millions of kids to computer programming. Learn to code with Bit and see how many challenges you can complete in an hour. Baxor theorizes this is intended to be an introduction into LEGO® Mindstorms programming. It reminds me of The LEGO® Group's WeDo education products. Forum link.
LEGO Worlds Coming To Consoles
Posted by Richard on November 29, 2016 at 09:31 PM CST:
According to Engadget, LEGO® Worlds will be coming to consoles next year. Originally it was a Steam exclusive. This is great news for me, since my PC is not quite optimized to run it properly. Forum link.
Best Price On LEGO Dimensions Yet
Posted by Richard on November 24, 2016 at 09:44 PM CST:
The LEGO® Dimensions starter kit is at the lowest price I've seen yet. Toys R Us has it listed for 39.99 USD on newer consoles, while it runs $29.99 for older machines like the XBox 360. If you plan to buy the PS4 version, make sure you buy the newer version that also comes with Supergirl, since it's the same price as the one that doesn't include the extra figure. Check out what figure packs are available too, as some are half price. Orders over $19.00 also get free shipping. Forum link.
Terraria And Starbound On Sale
Posted by Richard on November 24, 2016 at 07:05 PM CST:
While not LEGO® products, Terraria and Starbound are two great side scrolling games with as much building as you could want in the genre. Starbound is 33% off on the Steam platform. Terraria has been ported to most consoles and handhelds, but the Steam version is both the cheapest and most up to date and fully featured version, currently 25% off. The Wii U and 3DS versions are also on sale. Forum link.

New LEGO Dimensions Content Tries Not To Hog Your Hard Drive
Posted by Richard on September 27, 2016 at 10:08 PM CST:
The patch to my PS4 version of LEGO® Dimensions finished up a while ago. Despite being over 10 Gigabytes in size, apparently it was not intended to add the majority of the new content. Instead, it overhauled the game files to enable you to pick and choose what new levels get downloaded to your hard drive, which are then unlocked by the appropriate minifigure packs. Forum link.
LEGO Dimensions Receives Large Patch
Posted by Richard on September 27, 2016 at 09:23 AM CST:
I started my PS4 this morning, and it began downloading a 10.34 Gigabyte patch for LEGO® Dimensions. I assume this large patch adds the content unlocked by the latest batch of Dimensions figure packs, identified by their translucent orange stands. Forum link.
More Dimensions Sale Details
Posted by Richard on September 22, 2016 at 10:20 AM CST:
The entire stock of LEGO® Dimensions Level, Team and Fun packs I found at my local LEGO store, (not counting the starter sets required to play the game) were half price. They were all older generation packs as far as I know, and I did not see any of the newer ones on the shelf.
