New LEGO Dimensions Content Tries Not To Hog Your Hard Drive
Posted by Richard on September 27, 2016 at 10:08 PM CST:
The patch to my PS4 version of LEGO® Dimensions finished up a while ago. Despite being over 10 Gigabytes in size, apparently it was not intended to add the majority of the new content. Instead, it overhauled the game files to enable you to pick and choose what new levels get downloaded to your hard drive, which are then unlocked by the appropriate minifigure packs. Forum link.
LEGO Dimensions Receives Large Patch

I started my PS4 this morning, and it began downloading a 10.34 Gigabyte patch for LEGO® Dimensions. I assume this large patch adds the content unlocked by the latest batch of Dimensions figure packs, identified by their translucent orange stands. Forum link.
More Dimensions Sale Details
Posted by Richard on September 22, 2016 at 10:20 AM CST:
The entire stock of LEGO® Dimensions Level, Team and Fun packs I found at my local LEGO store, (not counting the starter sets required to play the game) were half price. They were all older generation packs as far as I know, and I did not see any of the newer ones on the shelf. To see the prices and figures at the LEGO Store I visited in the Crabtree Valley mall, click the following link >>
Select LEGO Dimensions Products Half Price At LEGO Stores

My brother gave me a surprise gift of three LEGO® Dimensions fun packs when I got home today. Two of them (The Slimer and Bane fun packs) were marked down to $5.99 USD at the local LEGO® Store. He mentioned several others were on sale as well, though he couldn't recall them very well. It sounds like the older ones in particular were discounted. Considering the minifigure packs are about 4 bucks for a random character, 6 bucks for a minifigure and an accessory of choice is a great deal, even if you don't have the game. Forum link.

MoD reader Vahkiti directed me to this post of his on BZPower (Which sources this Reddit post) with some interesting details on the telescope in the original Mata Nui Online Game. The Red Star, observable in the game's telescope to mark dates that fulfill a prophesy, will reach it's final destination on October 18th at 4:04pm EST. Forum link.
LEGO Dimensions Sale At TRU, New(ish) Starter Kit
Posted by Richard on September 11, 2016 at 11:00 PM CST:
It's been a while since I've seen the starter kits going this low. $49.99 USD for newer console versions like the PS4, wii U and Xbox One, with the older consoles like PS3 and 360 running for $39.99. If you don't mind paying full price, this newer version of the PS4 Starter Kit is advertised as including Supergirl, and a red ring accessory that gives her Red Lantern powers. Forum link.

If you play Terraria or Starbound, both games received content updates and bug fixes today. If you haven't heard of either before, they are side-scrollers with a bit of Metroid and Minecraft, allowing players a great deal of creativity. Forum link.
Mixels Games On Google Play
Posted by Richard on September 4, 2016 at 08:51 PM CST:
If you have any interest in the Mixels toys or cartoons, you might be interested to know that there are two official games on the Google Play store (I happened to spot them there a little bit ago, I imagine they are on itunes as well). The first is Mixels Rush, and the other Calling All Mixels. Both games are free, though supported by in-game advertisements, and Calling All Mixels is listed as having in app purchases.
