I received an email from the company earlier this week describing a photosensitive electronic component in the shape of a brick, which relays positional data it reads from a touch screen back to the tablet. Its still in development, and they would like to get developers on board with the technology. You can see a demonstration here of the tech in action.

Building And LEGOŽ Themed Games On Sale Posted by Richard on June 13, 2015 at 07:30 AM CST:
If Steam is your preferred PC platform, most if not all of the LEGO® branded games are on sale. LEGO Worlds is not discounted from its $14.99 USD price, but is technically discounted from what will be its final price as more features are added. Terraria, a personal favorite, is $4.99 right now, though it usually goes as low as $2.49. It also has a major update slated for the 30th of this month. Starbound is 4 bucks off via steam, though you may be better off buying direct at full price and getting the soundtrack, a steam early access key, and the DRM free version whenever it becomes available. If your not a fan of Steam, GoG.com has many of these same games listed, though not currently on sale. They are in the middle of a sale however, so daily updates might see this games discounted. Even better, most if not all Gog games are DRM free. Forum link.
LEGOŽ Worlds Now On Steam Early Access Posted by Richard on June 1, 2015 at 10:22 AM CST:
A new LEGO® game called LEGO Worlds has just popped up on Steam's early access page, currently listed at a reduced price of 14.99 USD (The price will reportedly go up as the game releases new features). I'm seeing people compare it to Minecraft, though I'd personally compare it to being a better featured and more interactive version of LEGO® Creator.

LEGO® Dimensions is a game that communicates with NFC tagged figures. Similar games like Disney infinity and Skylanders have made their new tittles backwards compatible with their older figures. It looks like LEGO Dimensions is going to be fowards-compatible with theirs.
LEGOŽ Dimensions Combines Bricks And Skylanders Posted by Richard on April 9, 2015 at 08:37 PM CST:
According to this article on Kotaku, a new game featuring what looks like NFC base powered mini figures and vehicles will allow you to interact with the game by placing the characters on a platform, much like Skylanders and Disney Infinity. It will be interesting to how Dimensions differs from similar NFC toys. Forum link
