Brick Magic Is Returning!

The last I heard of Brick Magic it was taking a break, but after two consecutive years it’s finally back, and with Brick Universe coming up in March, that gives local LEGO® enthusiasts two conventions within two months to look forward to.

Dear LEGO® Fan,

The 4th Annual BrickMagic LEGO Festival will be held this year in Charlotte NC over Mother’s Day weekend, on May 7-10. Our last three events were an amazing success, and after a couple of years off, we’re moving the event to Charlotte, NC to reach a new, even larger audience.

But BrickJournal editor Joe Meno and I want to make sure the huge public crowd gets totally dazzled by what they see on the public days (May 9-10), so we need the top builders in our region exhibiting at BrickMagic. And since we’ve seen your MOCs at BrickMagic Raleigh and other events, we’d like to extend this personal invitation for you to be part of this year’s event.

Like in Raleigh, BrickMagic 2015 features a private “AFOL-only” convention on May 7-8, giving you the opportunity to build and have fun with other members of the fan community. And when you register for BrickMagic, you’re eligible for these benefits:
Access to AFOL-only presentations and workshops (Joe Meno’s got some great ones planned again this year)
Eligibility for door prizes (wait’ll you see how Joe’s handing them out this year!)
A goodie bag filled with special LEGO-related surprises (new sponsors and vendors are adding items to it weekly, and you know from our Raleigh events that we don’t skimp on the good stuff!)
Our special event kit, and other limited edition items
A fully-cooked breakfast each day if you stay at the Embassy Suites, plus a Manager’s reception each evening with appetizers and drinks
Special swag we’re purchasing directly from LEGO and giving to builders, to make it worth each AFOL’s while to attend
And more special perks to come!

The registration fee is $60 until April 15, and then it goes up to $75, so don’t delay. The exhibitor registration deadline for BrickMagic 2015 is April 30, so if you can come, please go to www.brickmagic.org and sign up now!

If you have any questions about registering, please contact Joe Meno at admin@brickjournal.com

The Embassy Suites Charlotte/Concord is the site for BrickMagic 2015, located across the highway (I-85) from Concord Mills Mall and its LEGO store, and down the road from the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The hotel is offering a special rate of $129 per night through this special link:

http://embassysuites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/north-carolina/embassy-suites-charlotte-concord-golf-resort-and-spa-CLTCCES/index.html

Make sure you fill in our group code BMC when you make your reservation. You can also make a reservation by calling direct at 704-455-8200, or calling 1 800 EMBASSY. The deadline for the group rate is April 7, 2015.

VOLUNTEERS: We’re always looking for people to help out at the event, in return for free registration (and a lot of fun!). We’ve been blessed with a wealth of generous people to help out, and if you’re interested, email me at john@twomorrowspubs.com

VENDORS: If you’re interested in selling your products at BrickMagic, we will be officially asking for vendors to sign up in the next week or so, and giving first priority to past BrickMagic vendors. Once we’ve confirmed who’ll be returning from past events, we’ll open it up for new vendors. So if you were at our past events and would like to sell again this year, please drop me a line at john@twomorrowspubs.com

Joe Meno and I both hope to see you there May 7-10!

Best regards,
John Morrow
