"Heroes To The Core!" Results

Judging was done by herofactopedia ‘s Monasti, and myself. We both agreed that one particular creation seemed to best fit the criteria for first place. Some of the members who entered asked that we judged them on second, third, fourth and fifth place as well, even though there are no prizes for those. Monasti and I were not in complete agreement on the other placements, so in second place Ive listed both of our choices. Id rather not list the same MOCs twice, so I’m going to list the MOCs in their best light, eliminating fifth place.

In First Place, Jack Justice
By Xinlo

“Jack is about as basic of a hero as you can get. He belongs to no special team, he’s had his share of victories, but none that were anything important,
and he wants more than anything to get on a top-rated team. Maybe one day his luck’ll turn around.”

In second place

Imatron’s Choice:
Heavy Trooper Jairo Jiménez
By Iro the Dude

“Jairo Jiménez (pronounced HIGH-roh hee-MEH-nehs) was once a member of the Villain Factory before going rogue. He joined Hero Factory under the condition that he was to be protected from the organization he was once a part of. He isn’t trusted by his new allies, though he has proven himself useful, subduing Vapor, Thunder, and another bot named Hound at least once each. He is armed with a Plasma Whip, which superheats whatever it comes into contact with. He is also armed with a Disintegration Blaster, the abilities of which are self-explanatory. Furthermore, he is fitted with giant claws for melee combat, while two small rockets are attached to his body, allowing for flight. Lastly, unlike a lot of heroes, he is also capable of speaking Spanish.”

Monasti’s Choice:
Kevin Quake
By Toa Yurikk

“Keven Quake is tough and strong, his proffered weapon is the Quake Cannon Which allows him to vibrate buildings to the ground or turn pavement under a villains feet to quick sand. Though he mostly uses it as a club to batter enemies. He is also quite formidable without a weapon.

He specializes in destructive combat, knocking down buildings to prevent a villain from escaping, so obviously he isn’t posted in populated areas. So because of that he very rarely sees who he is saving, which is fine with him. Hes mostly a loner, he prefers to fight without the help of others. He checks in briefly with Hero command but usually doesn’t stay for long, refusing all leave of duty of any kind, he lives on the job. He has the Core of a Hero but the attitude of a deeply troubled being, nobody knows what happened to him because he never confides in anyone. We all are just stuck guessing.”

In Third Place, Steve Rage
By Takal

“Steve and his team were dispatched to bring down a villain, who managed to kill two members of Steve’s team. The rest retreated, and were ordered to return to HQ to be reinforced with a further two heroes, but Steve refused. Claiming that accepting two new team members as if nothing had happened would be an insult to the memory of the ones who had died, he set off alone in pursuit of the villain. The remainder of the team left in the direction of HQ, and ironically ran into said villain, who killed all three of them. Steve never found out, and has yet to track down the foe who killed his friends, and believes the other three decided to abandon him completely.

He is fiercely loyal to those around him, and sees mistrust and betrayal as the lowest deeds. Unfortunately, this was a programming error, and although this works to his benefit most of the time, it does mean he has no problem with being violent and destructive, paying no heed to collateral damage.”

In Fourth Place, Animar
By Solek-Toa Of Shadows

“Animar, as his name suggests, is more animal than anything else. He never works in a team, partly because the other heros fear him, and partly because he can’t be trusted, the last few teams he worked on were comepletly destroyed, and their hero cores drained, and even though the villain they were fighting was defeated (drained,) he is suspect. He tends to go wild and crazy during missions, though no one knows how or what happened to him to make him this way, and no one wants to know, knowing that their core procescors would combust if they knew.”
