MOC Spotlight, Orange Girl by Xinlo

While “Orange Girl” didn’t quite meet the criteria I was looking for in the Legend Of The Brickonicle contest, it was still a great creation with a good mix of color and an excelent custom torso. One of my favorite details are the thin orange parts on the sides of the arms, attached just under the shoulderpads. Everything about this MOC looks great, only the legs have been left without some unique design to take away from the use of prefabricated elements.

Even the spear, through the use of those spacers with the three equidistantly placed plus pegs, looks exceptional.

Im a fan of asymmetric designs, like this arm that is a weapon (or so I presume) rather than just another arm. Lacking a proper description from the MOC’s creator, I like to think it resembles a microwave induced plasma cannon.

In order to qualify for the Brickonicle contest, the creation had to use system bricks. He revamped it with system bricks before submitting it, so this is what it looked like in his entry photo.

It may not have won any awards in the contest, but it definatley deserves an honerable mention. You can see Xinlo’s original entry topic here on the forums.
