BZPower has been posting a series of articles breaking down the LEGO® Goals event they attended, a sort of marketing event designed to build excitement before the next big wave of products launches. Of particular interest to me is the new power functions line which will replace the old IR system with bluetooth. It will also expand upon concepts The LEGO Group has been trying to bring into the mass market, like their programmable WedDo and Boost. This will be accomplished by taking advantage of a smart device’s connection via bluetooth to act as the brain for your builds and enable you to automate your creations to some degree. The new system is set to debut in an RC Batmobile set.
