Pictures Update Followup

In the days since the recent update to the Pictures section, several people have written in with further additions. Click on the images below to jump to the relevant pages/galleries.

Cipher for Bionicle letters.

Some folks in the MaskOfDestiny Discord pointed out this crop of a version of The Official Guide to BIONICLE posted on BS01, uploaded by Turaga of Force. It’s got Scandinavian/Finnish characters!

Basalt pillars jut out of the ocean. A massive stone wall looms in the background.

Michael Rose has posted yet more concept art from the films on his online portfolio, and N quickly noticed it. Most of the additions are CGI art for Legends of Metru Nui, but there is also some traditional art for that film and for Web of Shadows.

The Turaga Nui.

JSLBrowning got a Vakama box to scan. The main purpose was to get a better image of the Turaga Nui, but the full scans are also in the box art gallery.

The Bionicle Logo for generation 2.

Thanks once more to Mxyl Valtapaz for grabbing this from the G2 artbook – it looks to be a fusion of the 2015 and 2016 logos.

Mazeka, a Matoran, rides atop a four-legged mech with a multi-magazine turret mounted on top.

Among the materials provided by Black Six is a CD that contained PSDs of Mazeka’s box layouts in a nearly finalized state. Scroll down on the 2008 packaging page for the raw files, or check out the art that has been extracted on Mazeka’s art page.

Also found by N, artist Sabrina Miramon has posted some of the backgrounds she created for the second season of the 2015 web series to her portfolio.

The Piraka Avak diving forward in an action pose.

Alongside the HD trailer found for the last videos update, Vahkiti pulled some BIONICLE Heroes wallpapers from the Xbox store that have some of the Advance-made Inika and Piraka renders in higher resolution, though unfortunately with a logo pasted over their feet.

And finally, Foulowe59 located the original download for the BIONICLE (2003 video game) screensavers, so I’ve updated our copies to those and also added a Mac version for one of the two – the first wasn’t capture in an Internet Archive snapshot. Find them with the rest of the screensavers here.

EDIT: Oh also I forgot, the Matoran and large set art from the 2004 style guide is in there now too. Have at it!
