If you missed out on Ide’s Journey, Act 1 during 810NICLE day last year, the audio production by Le-Koro Band is now available on more streaming services than before. In addition to Bandcamp, you can now find it on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. I think Ide’s Journey is best described as a short audio book and a concert, combined into one production. Listeners are put into the role of Ide, a blind De-matoran with no memory, as they navigate Spherus-Magna 12 years after Makuta’s defeat. The performance alternates between dialogue with background noise to simulate Ide’s environment, and musical scenes that serve other purposes like catching up on events through lyrics or setting the mood of events and surroundings.

Marcus Rose, who also goes by Samuel9248, founded The Le-Koro Band to bring BIONICLE fans of many different talents together for unique projects. Ide’s Journey is a proof of concept, bringing writers, voice actors, composers and musicians together, just to name a few. Although Le-Koro band is primarily dedicated to audio productions, artists are getting involved too. In addition to the album and concept art by Specter L, it has been hinted that Jocool1231 of Bionicle: Masks of Power, is working on an animated segment for Act 2 of Ide’s Journey. Le-Koro band hopes to have Ide’s Journey Act Two ready in time for 810NICLE Day 2023.
