I’ve been watching eBay closely over the last few weeks, guaging the popularity of BIONICLE™ by the number of auctions and the closing prices on individual items.

I am definitely seeing a major growth spurt over the course of the last week or so as the number of individual items has literally doubled!

So what does it mean? Well it definitely points to growing popularity of the line. Dealers only carry what they think will sell and BIONICLE™ is proving itself to be a very collectible line indeed, especially in the market for masks which seem to be the most consistent sellers.

Right now is a very good time to be polishing off that mask collection with lots of single masks available and still relatively low competition. I’m predicting a MAJOR explosion in the number of people getting into BIONICLE™ in the very near future. The seeds have been planted over the summer and now it is time for the mania to land in its most fertile soil yet. School’s back in and there are going to be a lot of kids with BIONICLE™ in their bookbags.
