If you’ve already sent in a MOC to be posted, don’t worry; I’m working on it.
From now on, here are a few more guidelines to keep in mind. Following these guidelines will make my job MUCH easier, and help me post your submissions that much faster (or, at this point, less slowly).
1) Please use “Mask of Destiny MOC: [Creation] by [Creator]” as the subject line of your e-mail, replacing [Creation] as the name of your creation, and [Creator] with the name you want me to use when crediting your creation. If you put more than one MOC in your message, please label each one separately in the message.
2) If you submit your MOC in the form of links to another page (BrickShelf, for instance), please be aware that it’s better if we use your BrickShelf (or other community) identity rather than a separate new one. Also, if that community asks us to take down a MOC that originally appeared in that community, or if you’re submitting someone else’s work and that creator asks us to take it down, we may have to do so.
3) Please use as little HTML in your e-mails as possible. Large HTML files (particularly cute “stationery”) clog up my e-mail inbox, and can make reading your messages more difficult.
4) Please don’t take it personally if your MOC doesn’t appear immediately. I have a BUNCH of MOCs waiting to be edited right now.
5) There will be instances where I won’t be able to post your creations. I am not trying to be mean. I will never do this without a good reason, which I will include in my response, along with suggestions on how to make it ready for posting, if applicable.
The most common reason why some MOCs don’t work out is picture quality. Again, we realize that professional-quality digital cameras are expensive. However, if your present digital camera is putting out blurry pictures, you may wish to try taking photos with a regular 35mm camera, and having them developed on CD, or scanning the photos if you can’t get a good deal on CD development. It may seem like a lot of work, but you’ll be happier with the result–and you’ll get a lot more compliments on you MOCs!
6) Above all else, have fun!
