We reported in August that Blockbuster stores would be carrying a variety of BIONICLE sets, some with unique twists. I still haven’t seen them locally…but now I know why. I was able to talk to someone who really knows what’s going on in the local store, and they’re basically waiting to hear from the district manager when it’s okay to put them out for sale. Why? Because if they put them out before the approved street-date, their store can be fined $5000. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the street-date hasn’t already come and gone, though. It just means that this store hasn’t been told what day that is yet.
