This concept art from the development of BIONICLE: Mask of Light depicts Makuta Teridax in all his glory.

When Makuta made his film debut, he spent most of the movie shrouded in shadow in his lair, and it was a bit hard to get a good look at him. This sketch, however, gives an idea of just what the character looked like behind all that fog and darkness.

It’s a very interesting design, notably with how similar it is to the 2003 prototype set it was based on, as can be seen from artist Kaylie Vinchenstein’s recreation below:

There’s also that suspiciously Nuva-like armor on the forearms — perhaps some foreshadowing for Takutanuva?
