This untitled concept art by Blacksheep Productions depicts Krekka the Dark Hunter, and was created during the production of BIONICLE: Legends of Metru Nui.

Krekka’s movie design has always been something I loved specifically for the weirdness of it. In these images, the arms are fairly set-accurate, just heavily stylized in terms of his Vahki arm, but interestingly — and a little comically — the torso is the Metru torso stretched out, with a dinky little launcher stapled on.

The head, however, captures the intent of the set perfectly (arguably better than the set itself). Here we find a display, in all its glory, of Krekka as the dim-witted bruiser, who’s already lost an eye — and I love it.
