This BIONICLE fan art by Okli is entitled Voriki the Stormbringer.

Voriki was a phenomenon well before my time in the fandom, so I’ll admit that I don’t have any strong attachment to the character. However, I still find this piece to be really well done — it feels like a blend between the aesthetic of the BIONICLE film trilogy and the more grounded look of the BIONICLE sets.

There are shapes I can recognize as coming from set parts but streamlined with the more biological elements of the Toa film look. The shins especially remind me of the BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui Toa Metru forearms.

Also, the lightning sai is just plain cool.
