I can still remember my grandpa teasing me on Christmas 2007, after getting Maxilos & Spinax, saying something along the lines of “what a waste of plastic, for it all to end up collecting dust in the attic in a few years”. Okay so he was wrong on this one, the fire never left me and this entry is trying to represent that. Here’s me in 10ish years (taking into account the probable trajectory of both my hairline and eyesight) still completing my kanohi collection, still building mocs, and hopefully having access to my own little workshop to 3d print, mold or cast life size kanohi masks among other creations!
This MOC is so full of details, from the part-bins and shelves to the miniature Axalara T9! He even has a 3D printer, which appears to be making some life size green Krana in this photo. The use of rubber bands to emulate a spool of 3D printer filament is simply brilliant. Other fun details include the dremel tool complete with other saw bits, power strip, stocked toolbox and even chair with working caster wheels. The photo even shows us some other interests of pierthviv, particularly the soldering iron and circuit board.
If you want to see more of pierthviv‘s work, including additional photos of this MOC, you can find his photostream here. He has a number of very detailed creations, including one more like this in the form of a campfire scene. He also has some very interesting TV and movie creations, and revamps of official BIONICLE and Star Wars sets. He also appears to be a very talented artist, which may have been hinted at by the pen and paper on the featured MOC’s work desk.
