Having a good stock of technic beams, gears and axles to tinker with can really help out when you want to include play features, or just make a MOC in the Titan size range and need something to help reinforce and build the skeleton up. It may be a stretch to call these Mindstorms parts (they probably meant Mindstorms compatible), I’m pretty sure there are no intelligent bricks/sensors or motors in these lots.
