Market Watch: Sealed Nidhiki And More

I skipped last week’s market watch for the holiday, so I grabbed a few extra items to check out this week.

First up, we have a sealed Nidhiki for 129.99 USD and free shipping. You might be able to snag it for a little cheaper on Bricklink if you live closer to France or Hungary. It’s been running closer to $200.00 from US sellers on Bricklink lately, although BrickEconomy suggests it’s worth about 125 bucks sealed.

BIONICLE watches seem to jump around a bit, but I think about 21 bucks after shipping for a used one with the packaging is a fair deal. The seller notes the batteries are dead, and would cost you a good chunk more if you want it to be functional. The seller is open to taking offers.

Are you an aspiring Makuta planning to take over Metru Nui? This army of 50 pre-owned Vahki is a good way to get you started, if you can manage to outbid your fellow evildoers without overspending. How or why the previous owner managed to accumulate so many and managed to get along without any Vorzakh or Rorzakh is beyond me, but we all know the red ones go faster!

The high bidder on the Krana display featured in the last Market Watch got away with a great deal! The winning bid was $178.87 USD, or about $1.86 per krana! I guessed it would cost about 2 bucks per krana to hunt them all down and ship them from Bricklink sellers. The buyer managed to escape the usual eBay markup that I estimated would bring the winning bid closer to $400 USD, and they even got a display with the purchase!

Keep that in mind when I point out that another seller has an even more complete set for 999.99 USD! This set includes the Krana Kal that were not part of the original 96. However, it does not have any of the extra rare VMKK, WMKK, SSKK, GPKK and both purple krana shades a 100% complete collection would have. The seller has an “or best offer” option, so maybe you can use the previous auction’s final bid to influence a significantly lower price?
