The first movie has been migrated over to the new BMP site, and you might notice some changes in presentation! Unlike on the old site, where certain ancillary items related to the film are in separate areas (concept art, soundtrack, etc), everything Mask of Light is now branching out from this one homepage!! You can expect a similar treatment for the other movies in the future. This change will also be coming to things like video games that have a lot of materials tied into them.
I took this update as an opportunity to add some recent submissions related to Mask of Light. First up, BMP staff alumni Foulowe59 sent in some Japanese movie materials. Viewable now are the DVD itself (ISO), as well as scans of the packaging. The JP Mask of Light DVD apparently came with this neat story booklet that summarizes the key characters, plot, and locations leading up to the film, and even has a fold-out listing of every retail set. I think it’s really cool.
Complimenting the JP DVD is a collection of material related to Spanish and Portuguese-language releases of the movie, courtesy of FACS01. This includes a DVD, as well as packaging scans for both Spain/Portugal and Central/South America releases of the film!
All the packaging scans are on this subpage.
Last but not least, Beeslow catalogued what could be found of stock photos related to the movie trilogy. While watermarked, they provide some visuals we don’t have copies of otherwise – you can see these chiefly in the render and still subpages.
I hope you find the new organization for this Mask of Light page intuitive and edifying!
EDIT: And just now Wolk sent in the Swedish DVD with Swedish, Finnish, and Icelandic language options! It’s on the page too.
