A upscaled revamp of the original Zyglak combination model from 2007. Standing taller than 36cm (14in), equipped with a disintegration spear and solid and posable design, this MOC is a true display piece for any collection.
The Zyglak are savages to begin with, but trifle with the Alpha, and no one will stand a chance!

Legend

I’ve been waiting about 9 months to feature this creation. I hinted at this MOC back when we made a post about Warlord Nektann. Vahkiti picked this one out, but at the time, the Alpha Zyglak was still a WIP. Not all of it’s parts were available in Stud.io back then, and it was not easy to get a few of the physical parts to build it. The efforts appear to have payed off though, and the Alpha Zyglak is looking better than ever.

There are so many details to enjoy, and it’s fun just to compare it to the original combiner model and see how Legend adapted different aspects of the source material. I’ve been impressed by Legend’s hand designs in the past, and this time is no different. The tiny fingers now have an extra point of articulation through a very clever use of parts. The tail is about the only thing I find lacking, though it appears to be simplified out of necessity. Too many decorative parts, and gravity would make it too heavy to pose in the air without the leverage pulling it down. It could be reinforced to hold the extra weight, but not without reducing flexibility and making it too bulky to suit the design well.
