This MOC is by Pilot

In his video, Pilot talks about how he developed Nehrua to represent the ancient creator of his version of the BIONICLE Universe. Nehrua’s motivations, and the inspirations behind the design of this character, all make for an interesting presentation.

I particularly like how Pilot used the chains throughout the MOC for different details. It’s not often that I see the larger “Hewki chains” used in MOCs, and I really think they are an underused part that has a lot of potential for creative designs.

If I dislike anything about Nehrua’s design, its the unfortunate fact some of the chains don’t work the same way in a real MOC as they would in this render. The red and blue bracelets on each arm for example, probably could not be built exactly as they appear. The chains on the hat also clip through the brim, instead of dangling over it. It would take a bit of modification to build this in real life, although it would still look impressive.
