A user going by Skybird posted a number of rahi creations on our discord recently, and his Nui-Maca was my favorite of the batch. It perfectly blends the classic BIONICLE rahi style with a macaw bird, all while packing in play features! Although Skybird is also very capable with Stud.io and has shown off some digital renders, he prefers to work with physical pieces in front of him first and recreate them in digital after the fact.

I designed it in 3-4 hours, it started with a smaller bird I was making, called a Pokiru (can be found on my server mocs channel) I made a tail which was originally going to be for that, but it was too big and reminded me of a macaw, so I set about making that

It has 3 functions, the wings can fold or open, a lever on the stomach can flap the wings, and pushing the top of the head opens the beak. The wing-flapping lever can also be locked in both positions for posing 🙂
