I had sent out ten MoCs to be displayed with the various other contributers to the North West Brick Con, and about a week ago I recieved the ten MoCs back, along with a trophie. I had scribbled the directions to assemble certain MoCs onto the envalope containing the MoC pictures and return information, so it was a comedic response to find the instructions to assemble the trophie rather well drawn onto the backside of the same envalope.
Design
As I said I cant take all the credit for Tweak’s design. Ive been trying to locate the builder and MoC from which Tweak’s basic design originated, located somewhere in a topic on our forums. The design uses an odd yet ingenious combaonation of Bohrock sheilds and a Tohunga set’s arm to create more of a rounded look. The MoC that this design originaly came from used this section as the main body in a humanoid mech and came in two variations, one of which held a Minifigure piltot, another I believe had a pop out cannon. and lacked a piltot. Tweak’s design uses the same shield and arm design, and possibly the nuva armor at his back, and thats about where the similarities end. A dfferent method is used to connect the three main parts and to give Tweak his robotic look and color scheme, and also holds together a gear mechanism that makes his arms and eye rotate in sync when any of the components are rotated at the base
Storyline
Tweak comes from a story created by Mathew Fogel, which revolves around the fifth and final Bio-Droid, “Destructo Epsilon” who now roams the galaxy autonomously. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon were each created by the same scientist during the time period where he was held captive with his daughter, and escaped thanks to taking control of Epsilon. In the process of escape, the Bio Droid creation data was destroyed, while the organic sections of the Bio Droid components were developed to prevent and scramble any attempts to reverse engineer, thus stamping out any chances of createing any new BioDroids without starting from scratch, or hunting down thier creator.
Tweak, created by the same scientist as Epsilon, is a hovering recon droid wiith top of the line inteligence and visual components, who watches Epsilon’s metaphorical blind spot. Whatever the situation, if theres something Epsilon cannot do with his brute force and tactical combat methods, Tweak can provide a work-around by either infiltrating a computer system, or taking over other mechanical devices…and every once in a while float through an air duct to press a button on the other side. Tweak lacks in physical streangth, but who needs streangth when you can hide behind an evolving top of the line combat droid with a cynical, if not psychotic sense of humor? Though Tweak and Epsilon have taken up work together as bounty hunters, they are mentaly polar opposites. Tweak has a cheerful outlook while Epsilon has a darker nature retained from his initial purpose as a weapon, and therefore they often clash. Epsilon’s humor is evident yet vaguely seen as humorous, which is most often expressed by destroying Tweak’s source of happiness, while Tweak often gains the upper hand by catching Epsilon off guard with a point he did not realize.
