Each participant will be given a sub-board on our forums to work with, and using the functions of the site’s forums, each participant will create a representation of their own BIONICLE® world in their designated sub-board. We invite you to display pictures of your MOCs and any artwork you have along with your entry.
You can make as many topics as you need to display your world, so if you’ve thought out a whole island, why not make a topic for each region of your island and it’s residents? Whatever creative ideas you have for using the sub board at your disposal are welcome, just try to make the BIONICLE world you’ve come up with come to life for us.
First Place Prize
The participant who’s entry I award first place to will receive a prize package comprised of some hard to find masks, like the orange Mask Of Time, a couple European misprints, and the copper colored Mask Of Victory. I may be willing to negotiate with the winner what masks the prize will include if their collection already includes these rare masks. First place will be judged based on how creative the user is with his entry and well the entrant’s world is depicted.
Additional Prizes
If we have ten entrants or more, I will award two additional prizes to entrants based on creativity and uniqueness in their entries. These prizes will include a copper colored Mask Of Victory, and maybe some extra common masks if I have any extras the winners can use.
Rules For Your Entries
*Your entry should be safe for our younger readers to see.
*Participants may enter throughout the month of May 2010.
*Your entry does not have to be posted all at once, you have until the end of the contest to work on and modify your entry. Once June first 2010 arrives, all entrants must stop work on their entry so they may be judged.
*Your entry should be made up primarily of your own unique ideas and characters, and based in some way on the BIONICLE Universe.
*Stories based on alternate realities/universes of the original plot are OK.
*Teaming up with other forum members is OK, but I’m not spending extra money to split up the prize and ship it out to two different addresses, so I recommend only teaming up with your family members.
*You are not allowed to use MOCs, artwork, or stories that you or someone you’ve teamed up with did not create.
*If your entry is designed as an RPG or is interactive in some way, you are allowed to have members play the interactive portions throughout the contest.
*If you have published or posted your own content on other websites or forums, you may copy and paste the content to our forums for use with this contest, be sure to make any necessary changes to clean it up for our site.
*Do not post in other participant’s entries/sub-boards unless you have their permission, or if they have a topic where they say its OK to post in.
***Given that this contest allows for an amount of variables that I may not have considered, I may update the rules to account for these variables as I see necessary.
How To Enter
To enter into the “Build Your Own World” contest, the first step is to register for our forums . If you already have a forum account, and want to enter, make a post in this topic and give me a name for your world, or some kind of tittle to name the sub board for your use. Once your sub board is ready, you may start working on your entry. It will usually take less than a day for one of us to approve your forum account and set up your sub-board.
Claiming A Prize
Once entries are judged, I will contact the winner(s) and ask for a shipping address to ship the prize to. If you are younger than 18 years of age, you must get permission from your parent or guardian to give me your shipping address.
I will pay out of my pocket to ship the prizes out, but I will not be responsible for paying any fees incurred for you to receive your prize. I will not be responsible for any prizes lost in the mail.
