My Friend Went to PO-WAHI and All I Got Was This Lousy Rock

The game aspect is done almost exclusively with Flash animation, which was probably the best decision they could have made. True, it looks a bit goofy at times, but the download times can stretch a bit as it is, without using something that’s more bandwidth intensive.

Another really cool decision was to keep track of what you’ve done and where you are on the island. You can load up on any computer using your online Club account, and it will drop you back where you were when you last played, and anything you’ve done will still be done.

You play a TOHUNGA, though the closest you get to an origin story is that you asked someone to hold onto your lava surfboard and you seem to have left TA-KORO in a pretty sizable amount of disgrace.

So far I’ve managed to save a hut full of TOHUNGA in GA-KORO, cured a plague in PO-KORO, and saved the lightstone supply and found a way to fix the mining problem in ONU-KORO. I’ve wandered around TA-KORO a bit, but I haven’t yet found anything that needs to be done there. Anyway, go to MATA NUI and check it out.
