According to Kotaku, Nintendo and LEGO® have joined forces to create a LEGO Mario Brothers set. It doesn’t end there though, as they developed a giant Mario figure with built in screens to animate the eyes and chest for an interactive game. It appears to use NFC to accomplish this, though a Bluetooth icon is also clearly visible on the figure’s back, possibly to link it to a companion phone application. Nintendo’s motion input appears to play a role in some interactions, and might possibly track his position across the entire board.
