MoD reader Jordan is the official first person to report finding a White Metal KRANA-KAL in an actual BOHROK-KAL pod. Like the pair that I got for Mark and myself, this one has blunted tips at the top. Originally I suspected that the ones they handed out in the BIONICLE™ van might have been rejected due to defects (specifically the crushed tips), but upon hearing that a blunted copy ended up in a BOHROK-KAL pod, I’ve begun to suspect that they might have been required to crush the tips to meet child safety standards. After all, the soft rubber of the basic KRANA isn’t going to hurt anyone, but the same sharp pokey shape on a metal KRANA-KAL would be a different story. It’s a shame, really, that there might not be any still in mint condition, especially since most of the crushed tips probably won’t fit nicely around a TOA head piece without scratching it.
