Canisters have played a big part in BIONICLE®’s history. What began back in 1999 with the Slizor/Throwbots, has continued to evolve in some interesting ways. It was a way to stop kids from losing their parts when they couldn’t bear to leave their favorite sets behind on their travels. Today I looked at the LEGO EShop, and one of the sets I found myself most interested in was in fact a Friends Set featuring a portable square container to build inside of. It’s a huge improvement over the pods that came out a couple years back. The Ninjago Arcade Pods aren’t looking too bad either.
