You might not expect The LEGO Group to win an award at a Cannes International Festival, but one of their advertisements did. In addition to that other Cannes festival, Cannes also hosts an advertising festival. Recently, the FCB office in Johannesburg, South Africa was awarded the highest Grand Prix honor (a “Lion”) in the Press Category at the 53rd annual Cannes International Advertising Festival for their print advertisement titled “Periscope.”
You probably can’t tell from the image as posted here, but those are not blue baseplates or computer-generated. That is an ocean of real standard 2×4 blue bricks! Forum Link
