MoD reader Mike Higgs wrote in almost a month ago telling me that in issue #10 of The Spectre by DC Comics, the TOA make a cameo appearance. Given the nature of the comic book in question, I was a bit skeptical, especially since Mike couldn’t provide me with scans of the actual cameo. It took me over three weeks to finally get a special-ordered copy to arrive, but I thought it was worth the cost. After all, this is probably the first time that any of the BIONICLE™ characters have been given status as a cultural icon. In the images below, the one on the left shows the cover you’ll need to look for, and the one on the right shows the cameo from page 3 with a larger shot in the inset.

In the cameo bubble, you can see, from the left, GALI, TAHU, POHATU, and LEWA. I’m not sure why, but ONUA and KOPAKA seem to not have been informed of when the family portrait was supposed to be done.
